Nikola Stojkovic was born in a country that no longer exists. At two years of age, he was transplanted from Belgrade, Yugoslavia to Chicago, Illinois, and has spent the past years growing, learning, laughing, developing a sarcastic wit, becoming a little jaded, and breaking bones. Oh-so-many bones.
In 2013, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in film and video from Columbia College Chicago. He set out into the Chicago indie scene, working on feature films including Tasmanian Tiger and Devil in My Ride. Since then, he has written and directed shorts and branded content for the non-profit organization, Latino Art Beat, and wrote and directed the commemorative video for Roberto Clemente Community Academy's 50th anniversary celebration.
His latest short film, Human Instincts, represents the culmination of two years of work from conception to completion, and is his most ambitious project to date. It is currently available online after enjoying a successful run on the festival circuit.
